Retirement Wishes and Celebration Ideas

Retirement wishes, retirement gift suggestions, wording on retirement plaque, retirement party ideas and other ways to acknowledge an employee or friend who is retiring.

To define retirement in the workplace - it is when an employee stops working at a set age when they are eligible for pension benefits usually sponsored by employers on retirement.  How do you acknowledge an employee who is retiring after many years of loyal service?

One way would be to ask the employee to provide a retirement gift suggestion that they would like to receive.  Some companies present a retiree at his or her retirement party with special wording on a retirement plaque.  The department the staff member worked in normally brainstorm retirement party ideas or retirement gift suggestions and send out retirement party invitations to colleagues and clients for these events.

They can also contribute by providing retirement speech examples that include interesting anecdotes to ensure that speech is sincere and expresses genuine fondness and appreciation for the person who is retiring.
