Holiday Punch Recipes
Two Classic Holiday Punch Recipes...
Would you like to build a little comradery in the workplace? You could organize a punch recipe contest. Or, you could simply make your own punch and share the recipe with others. This can work wonders for bonding in the workplace.
Every holiday celebration should include one of these holiday punch recipes.
Don't settle for just pouring a can of processed juice into a bowl? There is no fun to that at all!
Here are two punch recipes that are both quick and easy to make. Anyone can do it and here is how:
Slush Punch:
Here are the ingredients:
6 cups of water
21/2 half cups of white sugar
A couple of packages of flavored gelatin mix
1 can of pineapple juice
1
quart of orange juice
2 liters of a fruit flavored carbonated beverage.
Get a decent sized saucepan and add the sugar, water, and gelatin and boil the contents for three minutes or so. Once you hit the three minute mark, you need to add in the remaining juices. Place the beverage in a jar and when the time comes to serve it, add the carbonated beverage to the mix and stir it up until you see it becomes slushy.
Floating Island Punch:
This is a perennial favorite and one of the best holiday punch recipes that I have tasted. It can be made in a relatively short period of time.
Here is what you need when you go to the store shopping for the ingredients:
2 cups of white sugar
1
can of frozen orange juice and one
1
can of lemonade concentrate.
2 cups of water (you have the option of purchasing spring water)
1
liter of ginger ale and
1
liter of carbonated water
4 cups of ice will also be needed. A
1
pint of orange sherbet, one
1
orange, and a
1
jar of maraschino cherries
To make this, which in my opinion is the best of the holiday punch recipes start by bring the water to a boil. Then, add sugar and let the mix boil until it is a syrup. Once this is done, let the syrup cool down. Once it has cooled down, you add all the contents except for the fruit and sherbet as these will be added right before serving time.
Some workplace pointers
Just be sure to employ a little basic workplace communications in order to select a punch that can be considered appropriate. Some co-workers might be averse to drinking anything with sugar. And you do not want to bring alcohol ladened punch when it would might not be appropriate.
Sending emails out to the members of the office asking for suggestions for recipe ideas might be a better approach. The same could be said of soliciting favorite recipes from those in the office. Who knows? You might find some amazing recipes you would never have discovered without asking. You could even have a contest for who will make the best punch.
Why let the selection of a holiday punch be an afterthought? There are so many great recipes out there. Why not tap into the top ones and turn your holiday office party into something special?
