How do you define social networking?

Social networking entails increasing one's business and/or social contacts by making connections through individuals. Web-based social networking takes place through a variety of websites that enable users to share content, interact and develop communities globally.

Social marketing is not only about the external promotions operations of a business. It can also serve as a viable communications tool for in-house staff members. In fact, setting up a social networking profile for office communications can prove to be a tremendous idea.

So, how can this be instituted? One method is utilizing a bulletin board on a social networking profile to disseminate information.

Employees could also be encouraged to comment on the bulletin and interact with one another. This, in turn, opens the door to a great expansion of staff communication in a clever and fun manner.
