Award Winning Print Ads

What makes award winning print ads winners? Although it may seem like there isn't a science to it - but by looking through previous winning ads, you will see a pattern that runs through the really good ads that stand out and get the attention.

3 Tips for designing award winning print ads:

1. Know your target audience.
You are not bound to any limits when it comes to creativity.
When it comes to designing the ad, it has to be relevant to the consumer. Don't assume the audience knows what you're trying say. Aim to make an impact to your audience.

2. Know your purpose. What are you trying to say with your print ad? You need to make sure that there is a goal in mind. Are you trying to let people know about your brand, tell them about a particular product, or to let them know why your business is unique in the sea of competitors?

3. Make it visually appealing. When it comes to print, you need to be unique to grab attention and keep it. Aim to make your print ad visually appealing. This doesn't mean that the design has to be groundbreaking. It just means it needs to stand out from the other print ads.

Those are some quick tips to help you get started on designing award winning print ads. It may seem more like an art than a science but the fundamentals still apply before the creativity aspect of designing the ad.
